I currently have three online art courses. The first – Mixed Media Thumbnail Sketching (now closed to new bookings) focuses on working in a sketchbook and using a viewfinder. The second – From Sketchbook to Wall is about taking observations and ideas made on paper and developing them as a series of textile art works using waste fabric as a base material. The third – Finding Your Colour Voice is an exploration of colour, with a series of novel exercises designed to help you discover or recalibrate your personal use of colour in art and life.
These three courses are complementary but entirely distinct, so they can be taken alone or as a series, depending on your priorities and budget.
Each course follows the same format: recorded classes are uploaded at the same time (around 9am GMT) each weekday over a specific two-week period (click links below to see dates). This blends real-time experience with the benefits of anytime access, to suit different time zones and life obligations. During each two-week course Tansy will be on hand to provide advice, feedback and support via email. Each course also comes with a dedicated private facebook group (links are provided in pre course information pages) where students can connect with one another and see the variety of work produced around the world. These are entirely optional and don’t contain additional course content. It’s fine to just take the course and communicate with Tansy via email.
